Steve Wallen Swim School offers swimming lessons including baby and me swimming lessons, baby swim lessons, kids swim lessons, adult swim lessons, private and semi-private swimming lessons, adaptive swimming lessons, group swimming lessons, and competitive swimming lessons. The program also offers drop-in swimming, water gymnastics instruction, pool party coordination, competitive video analysis, and underwater filming for competitive swimmers and triathletes.

Steve Wallen Swim School is family owned and operated and has been teaching swim lessons for more than 40 years. The program offers personalized lessons, private or small group swim lessons, adaptive and handicap assistance, and uses certified safety equipment. Its mission is to help prevent drowning by teaching students to become skilled, confident swimmers.
The leadership team includes owners and instructors Mel, Steve Wallen, and Kaleb Wallen, along with Londa, who is the manager in El Dorado Hills. The team includes a group of certified, highly trained swim instructors who go through extensive training. Mel first learned to swim at age three through the German Lifesaving Association, swam competitively for twelve years, and has worked as an Aquatics Director, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Water Gymnastics Instructor, Pool Party Coordinator, and Mass Sport Host. Steve Wallen graduated from Chico State with a degree in Physical Education, swam at Chico State under Olympic swim coach Ernest Maglischo, competed on the Men’s Swim Team that won back-to-back National Championships and set a National Record in the 800 freestyle relay, is a member of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, and has been involved in the sport of swimming for over 40 years. Kaleb Wallen graduated from the University of California, Davis, studied Exercise Biology with an emphasis in Physiology, competed on the UC Davis Men’s Swim Team for four years under Olympic swim coach Pete Motekaitis, and specializes in competitive video analysis and underwater filming for competitive swimmers and triathletes.
Steve Wallen Swim School is family owned and operated, fully licensed and insured, and maintains membership in the United States Swim School Association. It has been voted #1 Best Swim School since 2013 by Folsom/El Dorado Hills and Roseville/Rocklin/Granite Bay voters and has five star local ratings and reviews. Steve Wallen is a member of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.
