Steve Wallen Swim School offers swimming lessons including Baby and Me Swimming Lessons, Infant Swim Lessons, Kids Swim Lessons, Adult Swim Lessons, Private and Semi-Private Swimming Lessons, Adaptive Swimming Lessons, Group Swimming Lessons, and Competitive Swimming Lessons. The program also offers water gymnastics, pool parties, swim team coaching, competitive video analysis, and underwater filming for competitive swimmers and triathletes.

Steve Wallen Swim School has been family owned and operated for over 40 years and has been teaching swim lessons to students of all ages and abilities for more than 40 years. The facilities feature state-of-the-art, indoor heated pool facilities with heated indoor pools and comfortable changing areas. The program is led by owners and instructors Mel, Steve Wallen, and Kaleb Wallen, with Londa serving as manager in El Dorado Hills. Instructors are described as certified instructors with extensive experience who go through extensive training.
Mel first learned to swim at age three through the German Lifesaving Association and has worked as an Aquatics Director, Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Water Gymnastics Instructor, Pool Party Coordinator, and a Mass Sport Host. Steve Wallen graduated from Chico State with a degree in Physical Education, swam under Olympic swim coach Ernest Maglischo, competed on the Men’s Swim Team that won back-to-back National Championships and set a National Record in the 800 freestyle relay, and is a member of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. Steve has been involved in the sport of swimming for over 40 years and taught lessons in his Folsom home for eighteen years. Kaleb Wallen graduated from the University of California, Davis, studied Exercise Biology with an emphasis in Physiology, competed on the UC Davis Men’s Swim Team for four years where he swam under Olympic swim coach Pete Motekaitis, has worked for Steve Wallen Swim School for the past seventeen years, and started teaching swim lessons and coaching swim team students at the age of fourteen.
The mission of Steve Wallen Swim School is to help prevent drowning by teaching students to become skilled, confident swimmers. The school is fully licensed and insured, maintains membership in the United States Swim School Association, and uses certified safety equipment. It has been voted #1 Best Swim School since 2013 by Folsom/El Dorado Hills and Roseville/Rocklin/Granite Bay voters and has five star local ratings and reviews.
