Tutu Performing Arts

Tutu Performing Arts offers dance and performing arts classes that include ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and tap. Classes are described as fun and exciting and include free trial class options. The program uses a unique curriculum that is taught at a developmentally age appropriate level in a supportive, inclusive environment where all dancers are welcome.

Tutu Performing Arts is a children's performing arts company with a mission focused on music, movement, and dance, and on teaching at each child's level so students can shine through a variety of classes. Staff members are trained in music, dance, theater, and early childhood education. Owner, director, and teacher Melissa Reich has been teaching young children and dance since 2005, is trained in early childhood education, has worked with special needs children, and has extensive history teaching preschool through school-age children. The leadership team also includes teacher Shayla Pinther, who teaches jazz, ballet, contemporary, and lyrical, and teacher Delaney Anderson, who teaches ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and lyrical. Tutu Performing Arts offers several onsite preschool locations for early dance education and provides classes within multiple preschools in the Sacramento area. The program is the exclusive provider for Learning Care Group, which includes La Petite and Child Time, and for Knowledge Universe, which includes KinderCare and Knowledge Beginnings, to offer dance classes in their local schools. Tutu Performing Arts also offers a 2026 Summer Showcase with tickets available.
