About the provider
Capital Community Athletics started in a park in the Sacramento Area and had 100+ on the waitlist. Its mission is offering hope through athletics to Sacramento's refugee youth through athletic opportunities in a supportive community, leading to lasting friendships and a sense of family. The leadership team includes Luke Voight, Founder and Club President; Heather Ladine, Director of Community Engagement; Genafine Rose, Girls' Athletic Director; Caleb Lawrence, Director of Coaching; Nancy Voight, Prayer Coordinator; Mark Shetler, Executive Assistant; and Ashley Heath, Club Manager. CCA serves refugee youth from countries such as Afghanistan, Syria, and Ukraine, and it provides cross-cultural training and coaching support.
