Creative Spaces Preschool and Learning Center describes itself as a positive, child-centered preschool experience that fosters learning through exploration in a family-like setting. The program uses a play-based approach and incorporates elements from Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and Montessori philosophies. Classrooms, referred to as the North and South rooms, include wooden open-ended toys, a book nook, a lego table, an art station, a music room, and a science area with a class pet, as well as access to an outdoor space with a garden the children help to plant and care for. The program includes mixed-age classrooms for children ages 2–5 and offers Fancy Feet Dance Instruction.

All Creative Spaces teachers meet or exceed California’s childcare state licensing requirements, and the preschool teachers have completed required coursework in early childhood education. All staff members have experience working with young children in a supervised program. The leadership team includes Ms. Mani (Owner/Operator), Ms. Lizzy (Program Director), teachers Ms. Jessica, Ms. Aileen, and Ms. Noel, teacher’s aide Ms. PaNyiag, yoga instructor Ms. Jennifer, and music teacher Ms. Jillian.

Creative Spaces Preschool and Learning Center states that it is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, students, and their families, and it has a non-discrimination policy that covers multiple protected categories under federal, state, and local laws. One parent describes the classrooms as thoughtfully designed, bright, and cheery, with wooden open-ended toys and areas such as a book nook, lego table, art station, music room, and science area with a class pet, as well as an outdoor garden space. Another parent notes that their child enjoys the mixed-age classrooms and weekly structured group time on topics like snow or growing a seed. A parent who toured multiple preschools in the area reports that they found the attention to detail, space, and learning activities at Creative Spaces Preschool and Learning Center to be a step above other centers, and another parent reports that their child has attended full time for about six months with many memorable experiences and personal reports from staff at pickup.
