About
Planet Gymnastics offers recreational gymnastics classes that include Tiny Tumblers, Gym Stars, K Stars, Girls/Boys Levels 1–4, Ninja, and the No Limits: Adaptive Gymnastics program. Classes use circuits and the four main gymnastics events: vault, bars, beam, and floor. The gym includes tot-size apparatus for younger participants.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Tiny Tumblers classes are 50 minutes; Gym Stars classes are 55 minutes.
The mission of Planet Gymnastics states that gymnastics stimulates a love for learning and that the program focuses on making learning fun. The mission explains that children are encouraged to try new things, make mistakes without being laughed at, and fall without being embarrassed, and that failure is described as an essential part of learning and living. As a recreational, non-competitive gymnastics center, the mission states that competition is removed within the facility and that the focus is on individual performance, with the goal of building self-confidence and motivation by creating challenges every child can accomplish.
Planet Gymnastics offers bi-monthly skill evaluations for Girls and Boys programs, along with yearly lesson plans and skill sheets to track progress. The No Limits: Adaptive Gymnastics program is for children with diverse physical, developmental, or intellectual needs and uses lower class ratios. In Tiny Tumblers, toddlers participate with a parent or caregiver, and only one parent or caregiver is allowed on the floor at a time. Families are invited to call to schedule a trial class, and the program directs families to check out classes under the schedule tab and to look under events for more information.
