River City Theatre Company Workshops focuses on musical theater where participants act, sing, and dance as part of a full-scale production experience. The workshops include musical theater activities that bring together live performance elements such as a live orchestra, real costumes, and real sets. Every child who registers is given a role in the cast, with no competitive auditions and no cuts.

River City Theatre Company Workshops is a non-profit children’s musical theatre program. The workshops are open to all children in 1st–12th grade, and every child in these grades who registers is guaranteed a role in the cast. All-Access Workshops welcome every child in grades 1–12 into a full-scale production experience that includes a live orchestra, full costumes, real sets, and eight public performances. River City Theatre Company offers ways to learn all aspects of musical theater in a compassionate, positive, and supportive workshop environment committed to integrity. River City Theatre Company provides an inclusive educational approach to the art and production of live musical theater for all youth, with a mission to empower youth with the qualities and passion to develop confidence, self-esteem, and life skills in order to become extraordinary leaders. The organization makes this opportunity available to all youth in the Sacramento and surrounding communities.
