About

Sacramento United Soccer Club offers a year-round youth soccer program that includes supplemental soccer camps, common training sessions, and training camps focused on skills such as dribbling, shooting, and defending. Players compete in NorCal Spring and Fall leagues, NPL leagues contingent on qualification, and participate in local, regional, and national tournaments, along with intra-club friendly games and joint training sessions. The club also runs a Winter Cup for U8–U11 boys and girls in late winter and integrates futsal into training for U8–U15 teams using a hardwood futsal court inside the Sacramento Performance Center.

• Schedule: Competitive program runs year-round from May 2025 through April 2026; weekly strength and conditioning sessions are offered for older competitive teams during spring and fall seasons only.

Founded in 1977, Sacramento United Soccer Club operates a competitive program that serves over 50 teams and 1,200 players annually. The club uses a club-wide training and coaching program where all players and teams learn from all the coaches in common training sessions and training camps, and each player has an Individualized Player Development plan. Sacramento United has a College Workshop Program with online seminars and workshops for players and parents, and provides full access to team matches captured through VEO with high-quality video, plus BYGA mobile app access for schedules, rosters, team chat, instant messaging, and RSVPs. The club offers a Financial Assistance Program for families that qualify (Ofrecemos Ayuda Financiera para familias que califican).

Sacramento United’s leadership team includes Club President Albert Regalado, Vice President Brent Sasaki, and former Costa Rican International Reymond Harris, who co-leads and manages the club with Juan Fresquez. Additional leadership and support roles include Ellen Martin as Director of Managers, Rosa Paragas as Administrative Support and Volunteer Coordinator, Danielle Dominguez as Club Registrar, Anthony Esparza as Director of Membership, Gustavo Vega as Director of Finance, Preet Kandola as Event Coordinator, and Brookes Hewell as Equipment Manager. Teams are coached by experienced and licensed soccer coaches.

The club’s mission since 1977 has been to create a family-friendly environment while nurturing players’ technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth, with training and coaching goals that include building character and instilling positive values through hard work, responsibility, mutual respect, and teamwork, and instilling a lifelong love and understanding of soccer. Sacramento United develops relationships with recreational clubs and encourages player and parent involvement in planning, organization, and administration of the program. The club participates in the national Girls Academy and MLS NEXT leagues and is designated as a Players 1st Club by US Club Soccer. It is one of only two elite youth clubs in the Sacramento region with its own centralized training and match facility and is the only club in the region to offer a full MLS NEXT pathway (U13–U19) with Homegrown and Academy platforms for the 2025–26 season, including a newly launched MLS NEXT Academy platform. Nike uniform kits for boys and girls are required and are not covered by the club.
