The Statewide Leadership Conference is a week-long, intensive leadership program. It includes housing, meals, program materials, and transportation to and from the conference at no cost to participants or their families. All activities take place during the 44th Annual Statewide Leadership Conference, scheduled for July 19, 2026 through July 25, 2026.

- Statewide Leadership Conference — Currently in either 10th (Sophomore) or 11th (Junior) grade. Freshman and Seniors are ineligible to apply.

About the provider
The program has been offered since 1982. Its mission is to enhance and further develop the leadership potential of California’s youth as they prepare to become future leaders of the state and nation. Students must be currently enrolled in a California high school for the 2025-2026 school year, be in 10th or 11th grade, not have previously participated in the Statewide Leadership Conference, and be able to attend the entire conference week. Freshmen and seniors are ineligible to apply, and the application deadline is March 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
To be eligible to apply, students must currently be enrolled in a California high school for the 2025-2026 academic year, be currently in either 10th (Sophomore) or 11th (Junior) grade, not have previously participated in the Statewide Leadership Conference, and be able to attend the entire conference week; no exceptions will be made. Freshman and Seniors are ineligible to apply.
