Marin Community Music School offers music instruction, coaching, ensemble, and performance opportunities. The program offers a free consultation to help a prospective student find out if the school is a good fit.

Marin Community Music School opened in 2009 and has been sharing music for over 15 years. Since opening, it has welcomed 1,153 students from 870 households, with students ranging in age from 7 to 85. The school has provided more than 22,235 hours of instruction and coaching, and supporters have provided $300,539 to date. Its mission is to provide music instruction, coaching, ensemble, and performance opportunities for community members of all ages and musical interests on a first-come, first-served basis, without regard to means, income, or any otherwise limiting factor. As a non-profit charitable resource, it relies on supporters in Marin and beyond for the development of its programs and to assist students in need. The school admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, gender identity, sexual orientation, or national origin in its educational, admission, and financial aid policies or programs.
