Wee Yogis offers kids yoga along with beginning singing, chances to sing, dance, and play. Activities include yoga poses, stories, music, games, breathing exercises, mindfulness exercises, and an introduction to anatomy, the subtle body, and injuries. The program also includes exposure to backbends, inversions, arm balances, Sanskrit, mantras, chanting, and Kirtan, and it features special events such as a Wee Yogis Sing-a-long event and a Wee Yogis Weekend Camp.

The Wee Yogis 95 Hour Kids Yoga Teacher Training is described as “an incredibly fun, playful, heart opening, educational experience meant for teachers, educators, parents, caregivers, pediatric professionals, and anyone inspiring children towards mindfulness and yoga at an early age.” The Wee Yogis 95 Hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training is also described as “an incredibly fun, impactful, educational experience meant for aspiring registered children’s yoga teachers and anyone passionate about bringing mindfulness and yoga to children.” The training includes Wee Yogis teaching manuals and music albums, including the Wee Yogis Play teaching manual and album, Wee Yogis Connect teaching manual and album, Wee Yogis Grow teaching manual and CD, and the Wee Yogis Professional Training Manual with the collection of all three Wee Yogis yoga music albums.
The curriculum includes teaching children with special needs and yoga/therapeutic activities for kids with ADD/ADHD, autism, and sensory processing disorders. Topics also include working with at-risk youth, behavior management techniques, bullying, sequencing for teens, empowerment techniques, and an introduction to Kirtan. Module 4 includes topics on the business of kids yoga, including liability forms, insurance, class fees, marketing, and more.
The Wee Yogis 95 Hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training is certified by the Yoga Alliance. Completion of the Wee Yogis 95-hour Teacher Training allows those who are registered with Yoga Alliance as 200 RYT or 500 RYT to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT). Full attendance to all 4 modules is required to register with Yoga Alliance as a RCYT, and once Module 4 is complete, trainees will be qualified to register with Yoga Alliance as a RCYT.
Trainees may be involved with hands-on class observation and support at local yoga studios, schools, and for a Wee Yogis Sing-a-long event. There is a reference to LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District) in a testimonial. For graduate classes, all trainees will develop and teach at Wee Yogis Weekend Camp, and participants can become an official Wee Yogis teacher for connections to teaching yoga and mindfulness at schools, local studios, festivals, and other programs.
Sibling discounts, scholarships for low income families, and work trade are offered. Families are invited to schedule a free trial class, and there is an option to sign up to receive a song that will help introduce yoga and mindfulness to kids. There is an upcoming training listed as August 2020.
