About

Kayne's Instructional Swim School (K.I.S.S.) offers year-round swim lessons that include private swim lessons, stroke and conditioning group classes, and an Introduction to Water Polo. Stroke and conditioning classes focus on freestyle and backstroke through drills and exercises, and the Introduction to Water Polo covers ball drills, egg beater, dribbling, ball handling, and offensive and defensive moves, along with rules, lingo, and the foundation of the sport. Private lessons specialize in instruction for first time swimmers, competitive swimmers, and adults, and lessons are available for all skill levels for children who are over 3 years old and potty trained.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Private lessons are typically offered Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:00am–12:00pm and 3:15pm–7:00pm depending on the season, with summer months running Monday–Thursday; private lessons are 15 minutes each day, stroke and conditioning has 30-minute Junior, Beginner, and Intermediate levels and a 45-minute Advanced level.

Kayne's Instructional Swim School has been teaching year-round swim lessons for over 20 years. The program’s family-oriented teaching style focuses on water confidence and improving skills needed in nearby coastal communities such as San Clemente, Capistrano Beach, Dana Point, Laguna, and other local coastal cities. Kayne's Instructional Swim School is contracted by the City of San Clemente's recreation division, and sign ups and scheduling are run through the City of San Clemente's recreation department. Registration for certain programs is on a first-come, first-serve basis and often fills up quickly, with no registration after the first day and no make-ups for specified programs. For stroke and conditioning classes, wearing a swim cap and goggles is highly recommended but not required.
