Roos Studios Music Lessons & Early Education Program includes an Early Education music program called Animal Adventures, Music Introductory Classes for 4–6 year olds, and a private music lesson program for ages 4–6 in an individual one-to-one format. In Animal Adventures, children move through 10 levels and 10 books that introduce 10 instruments and musical concepts through stories with animal characters, games, activities, and weekly homework. Classes are divided into three sections called Table Time, Rug Time, and Stage Time, where students use a music staff rug, play backyard-style games with role-reversal variations, and spend time in hands-on exploration, listening, and learning about instruments such as voice, guitar, violin, flute, drums, saxophone, cello, trumpet, clarinet, and piano/keyboard.

• Schedule: 30-minute private classes divided into three 10-minute segments
The program’s curriculum covers rhythm, note reading, and instrument introduction and exposure, and each book includes learning activities, games, stickers, and more. Students receive a themed medal after completing each of the 10 levels, and by graduation they can identify and understand basic music symbols, read and clap rhythms from quarter notes to sixteenth notes, and read three octaves of notes on the grand staff, and they are prepared to begin private lessons in an age-appropriate instrument of their choice. Roos Studios teaches private lessons in drums, piano, guitar, voice, bass, ukulele, cello, viola, and violin, and piano lessons are taught only on grand pianos or acoustic upright pianos, not keyboards.
All teachers at Roos Studios are described as well-qualified, motivated, FBI background checked, and DOJ cleared. Roos Studios uses high-definition cameras in every room for safety, and all lessons are month to month with no contract, with state-of-the-art scheduling that allows rescheduling up to 24 hours before lessons and free makeup lessons for same-day sick cancellations. Roos Studios has more 5-star reviews than any other music school in Orange County and launched a Carlsbad location in August 2023.
