About
Coastal Kiddos offers outdoor education and adventure programs that include games, sports, bird language, tide pool exploration, plant and animal identification, nature-based games, arts and crafts, and exploration and play time. Each session uses games, activities, and hands-on lessons to teach children about nature.

Coastal Kiddos was created to reconnect children with the outdoors by teaching children about the outdoors through games, activities, and lessons. Its mission is to connect kids in San Diego to the natural world around them and to create a connection with nature at a young age. The program states that it aims to help create life-long outdoorsmen and women and describes this relationship with nature as important for human health and the health of the planet, with a goal of passing a love and appreciation of the outdoors on to the next generation.
Brooks is the Founder & Head Teacher and is an outdoor educator from La Jolla with over 10 years of experience working with children and a degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz. Zora graduated with a degree in astronomy from SDSU. Mariela graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies. Sophie graduated from Tulane University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Environmental Biology. Hannah went to school at the University of New Hampshire and has a B.A. in Sustainability and Political Science with a minor in Marine Policy.
Coastal Kiddos is proud to partner with 1% for the Planet and pledges 1% of their annual sales to environmental and social causes. For the past five years, Coastal Kiddos has supported Foster the Earth, Farm Link Project, and WILDCOAST. One parent shared, “The outdoor adventure camps are amazing and exactly what the kids need - being outside and exploring nature! Brooks puts together a great plan for the kids (e.g. educational instruction, arts and crafts, exploration and play time) and the smiling faces from our group sums up a successful day! We can't wait for the next adventure camp!”
