San Diego Danceworks offers combination dance camp for ages 4-6, where dancers are introduced to ballet, tap, creative dance, jazz hip hop, and gymnastics. It also offers dance camp for ages 7-11, with fundamentals of ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. For ages 2-5, classes include Tap/Ballet (PRE), Tumbling (PRE), Tap/Ballet (PRE/Level I), and Tumble, Play & Sing.
Programs
- Combination Dance Camp for Ages 4 - 6 — 4-6 · 9 AM - 3 PM; Half Days Available: Morning Half 9 AM - 12 PM; Afternoon Half 12 PM - 3 PM · Dancers are introduced to a variety of dance styles such as ballet, tap, creative dance, jazz hip hop and gymnastics. Dancers perform what they've learned on the last day of camp.
- Dance Camp for Ages 7 - 11 — 7-11 · 9 AM - 3 PM · Dancers are taught the fundamentals of ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theatre. Dancers perform what they've learned on the last day of camp.
- Master Classes/Dance Intensives for Ages 9 + — 9+ · Times Vary · End your summer with a dance intensive that will challenge you and provide an opportunity to experience a variety of dance styles with Dance Company Coaches.
- Classes for Ages 2-5 Years Old — 2-5 · Monday 3:00 - 3:45 PM; Monday 3:45 - 4:15 PM; Wednesday 4:00 - 5:00 PM; Thursday 10:15 - 11:00 AM; Saturday 8:30 - 9:30 AM · Spots are still available in the 2026/27 season for Tap/Ballet (PRE), Tumbling (PRE), Tap/Ballet (PRE/Level I), and Tumble, Play & Sing.

About the provider
San Diego Danceworks was founded in 1990, and Barbara Rinaldo was appointed Studio Director three years later. The studio says it has been in business for 36 years.
