Ocean Experience Surf School Camps & Lessons

Ocean Experience Surf School Camps & Lessons offers surf lessons for ages 6 to 60+, including open group surf lessons and private surf instruction. It also offers summer camps, including Half Day Surf or Skate Camp, Full Day Surf Camp, and Full Day Combo (Surf & Skate) Camp, with full day and half day drop-in and week-long camps run throughout the year. Surf and SUP board rentals are also available.

About the provider

In 1990, Ocean Experience became San Diego's first surf school. The instructors are ocean safety, water rescue, First Aid, and CPR certified. A portion of every camp tuition is donated to provide summer camps to at risk youth and empowering surf lessons to those who never thought they could surf, and the site says donations have been made to local communities, local schools, scholarships, and Peninsula Surf Club.

Lessons are booked by appointment; call ahead and book at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a spot. Open group lessons require groups of 3 to 5 people. Private lessons have a 2-hour minimum. Camps run throughout the year.
