The tour also includes a collegiate series for players up to 23 years old.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
Founded in 2003 by PGA Teaching Professional Chris Smeal, Future Champions Golf Tour is led by Chris Smeal, Founder and PGA Teaching Professional, and Greg Dumlao of FCG Tour. Future Champions Golf states that it is the global leader in junior golf, helping junior golfers develop their game to play at the collegiate level in the USA. The program is described as an award winning academy, and the FCG Tournament Program and Academy are described as a “Double Eagle” for junior golfers and their families.
Future Champions Golf Tour makes its home in San Diego, CA but operates worldwide, partnering with multiple international junior golf tours and organizations, including FMG in Mexico, Maple Leaf Junior Tour in Canada, Super Lychee Tour in China, Greens to Glory Junior Golf Tour in India, Singapore Junior Golf Development Tour, Happy Kids Golf in Taiwan, Fore Management in Thailand, British Junior Golf Tour and Robert Rock Junior Golf Tour in the United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico Junior Golf Tour, to host or support qualifying events for the FCG Callaway World Junior Golf Championship. The FCG Tour operates over 100 events in the USA with headquarters in San Diego, CA and notes “Future Champions Golf Tour – 150+ Tournaments in USA,” along with 75+ international qualifiers including the FCG Asia Series and FCG Mexico Series.
The tour lists several unique features, including 120+ tournaments per year, first class but affordable events, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff, and the presence of PGA and USGA Rules Officials. It notes increasing value every day with help from loyal sponsors, relationships with college golf coaches with 120 on site in 2023, FCG Pathways to major amateur and professional golf tournaments, great exposure to college coaches, and a CAMPUS Recruiting Platform coming soon. Membership is not required, but the tour notes that there are member benefits.
Callaway Golf has been the title sponsor since January 2008, and Callaway is listed as the official golf ball of the FCG Tour. All participants receive one dozen Callaway golf balls with the FCG logo at every FCG National Tour and FCG World Series event. The program notes that before some players competed on the PGA, LPGA, and Epson Tours, the FCG Tour served as the player development tour for some of the game’s best young players. The FCG Big 3 is listed as being powered by Upgame by Trackman in 2026, and players can play their way into the FCG Callaway World Championship.
