Improv Classes for Youth

Improv Classes for Youth includes improv classes and ongoing classes that cover Improv Essentials, Core Training, workshops and electives, and an Intro to Improv Workshop. The program is connected to a range of live improv and comedy events such as Open Jams, Sketch Night, SmackDown Sunday, Improv VS Stand-up, All Hands On Deck!, Telenovela improv, RADIO ’47, showtuned, Uncensored All Hands On Deck, and Let Me Have It!, which feature different improv formats and themes.

• Schedule: Lyrics & laughs on third Fridays at 7:00 PM; Improv VS Stand-up on Saturdays at 8:30 PM; All Hands On Deck! on Saturdays at 7:00 PM; Telenovela improv on second and fourth Fridays at 8:30 PM; RADIO ’47 on second and fourth Fridays at 7:00 PM; showtuned on first Fridays at 7:00 PM; Uncensored All Hands On Deck on first and third Fridays at 9:45 PM; Let Me Have It! on second Fridays at 9:45 PM; SmackDown Sunday on Sundays at 8:30 PM; Resident Teams on Sundays at 7:00 PM

Mockingbird Improv is a nonprofit theater and a dba of OTIC Theater Collective, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Programs are run on donations from supporters along with contributions of passion, creativity, and talent from the community, and all donations are tax deductible. The theater presents world-class improv in San Diego and has at least one independent team in residence at any one time.
