Rising Star Preschool includes hands-on activities such as tending a garden, outdoor kitchen stove play, and problem-solving at an outdoor science center. Children use a balancing beam, hula hoops, and tricycles, and take part in baby signing, Spanish, and music with congas, flutes, and cymbals. The program uses small classroom sizes, hygiene stations on arrival, new parent drop-off and pick-up routines, an outdoor science center and kitchen, a ZONO eco-friendly sanitizing system, a dedicated space for speech and occupational therapies, and an on-site preschool chef.

Rising Star Preschool states its mission as “Helping children reach their full potential.” The program uses blended curriculums including STEAM, The Creative Curriculum®, and the Kindness Curriculum, and includes a social-emotional focus and curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten. It offers flexible hours for a 2–8 p.m. care waitlist and provides daily updates through a parent app with reports, pictures, and videos. The program includes strict COVID-safe measures such as temperature checks, restricted parent entry, small classroom sizes, intensive cleaning and sanitizing, and commercial disinfecting after hours, along with cameras and new parent drop-off and pick-up routines. An on-site preschool chef provides fresh, nutritious meals using local, seasonal ingredients, with healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack included as a complimentary part of the preschool experience. Rising Star Preschool participates in CACFP to support nutritious meals and states that it supports families who qualify for subsidy programs and in-house funding. Parent participation includes potlucks, monthly meetings, and volunteer opportunities. The program has a farm partner that brings goats, horses, and other farm animals to school, and a music specialist visits weekly with congas, flutes, and cymbals.
