About
Summer Dance Camp includes ballet technique, creative dance, turns and allegro, jazz, pointe, pre-pointe, variations, contemporary, ballet crafts, stage make-up, and other dance-related activities. The program is organized in levels from Pre/Kinder Ballet through Pre-Professional Ballet 6 and Studio Company, with classes and workshops tailored to each level. A dress code is required for all Summer Dance Camps, and a limited number of students may be enrolled, with space filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer Dance Camps 2026 run June 15 to July 10, 2026, in two 2-week sessions (Session I: June 15–26, no classes Friday June 19; Session II: June 29–July 10) with level-based morning and afternoon class blocks on selected weekdays.
• Price: Pre/Kinder Ballet: Session I $170, Session II $170, Both Sessions $300; Ballet 1, 2, 3: Session I $210, Session II $250, Both Sessions $400; Ballet 4: Session I $290, Session II $290, Both Sessions $510; Ballet 5 and Pre-Professional Ballet 6 & Studio Company: Session I $325, Session II $360, Both Sessions $600; a non-refundable 25% deposit or full tuition is required, balance is due by the first day of the session, tuition paid in full by June 1st receives a 10% Earlybird Discount, and family discounts are available.
Summer Dance Camp is led by Managing Director Jo Anne Emery, Artistic Director Steven Wistrich, and City Ballet School Registrar Cathleen Penyak. City Ballet of San Diego adheres to San Diego County’s Health and Human Services Agency health and safety protocols. There will be an Open House on selected days during each session for all levels, where parents and family members are welcome to observe during the final hour at the specified times for each level. Registration form and full tuition payment must be received before the first class.
