Plunge San Diego Swim Lessons

Plunge San Diego Swim Lessons offers group swim lessons, private swim lessons, recreational swim, lap swim, water aerobics, aqua workouts, Shallow Water Aqua, Deep Water Aqua, Toddler Time, Plunge Masters, San Diego Adventure Camp, aquatic aerobics classes, swimming pool party rentals, and access to an inflatable obstacle course. The program also offers a Plunge Babies parent-and-child interactive class in the shallow end, where a guardian is required to be in the water with the child. Group swim lessons use small class sizes, with up to 5 students for Levels 1–3 and up to 6 students for Level 4, and follow structured swim levels with explicit learning objectives and exit requirements.

• Schedule: Group lessons meet once a week for 30 minutes over 4 consecutive weeks, with options offered every day of the week; recreational swim with obstacle course and inflatables is available 7 days a week between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm; lap swim for members and guests is available 7 days a week between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
• Price: Group lessons cost $69 per 4-week session for members and $99 for non-members; private lessons cost $219 per 4-week month for members and $249 for non-members, with an added $54.75 for members and $62.25 for non-members in months with 5 lessons; all memberships receive a $30 program discount on all swim lessons.

Each group lesson is 30 minutes long over a 4-week session with one lesson per week, and each private lesson is 30 minutes long with billing on a monthly basis defined as one lesson per week over 4 weeks. A credit card on file is required to hold a spot for both group and private lessons. A guardian is required to get in the water with the student for Plunge Babies (Parent and Child) classes.

Plunge San Diego Swim Lessons takes place in a historic pool that was originally built in 1925 and converted to fresh water in 1940. The pool is 175 feet long and 60 feet wide, holds 355,000 gallons of water, and is described as a 10,500 square foot heated pool with multiple lanes, a retractable roof, floor to ceiling windows with ocean views, and an inflatable obstacle course in the water. It is described as a historic landmark pool known to be one of the largest pools in Southern California, originally the largest salt water pool in the world and later the largest heated pool in Southern California. The program is open to both pool members and the public, and all memberships receive a $30 program discount on all swim lessons.
