Karyn Overstreet Vocal Studio

Karyn Overstreet Vocal Studio offers vocal coaching, singing lessons, audition preparation, song selection, artist development, and private vocal coaching. The studio also provides coaching and training for speaking for Ted Talks, hosting, public speaking, and sales, along with mentoring sound and look to create the artist as a business. Additional options include piano coaching, songwriting coaching, music career consulting, and college prep for vocal performance and musical theatre programs, as well as mentoring and preparing clients for career and college auditions.

The studio offers in-person and Zoom coaching and has a 24 hour cancellation policy requiring 24 hour notice to cancel a lesson or the lesson must be paid in full. Karyn Overstreet Vocal Studio states that it welcomes and includes all people regardless of race, socio-economic class, color, national origin, religion, diverse perspective, age, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or expression, neurological or physical ability, body type, veteran status, legal status, or educational level.

The leadership team includes Karyn Overstreet, a Broadway experienced master vocal coach, college prep and vocal coach, and Sydney Forest Taylor, an artist development coach and Los Angeles representative. Karyn is a master singing teacher and vocal coach who focuses on vocal technique and audition prep and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). Sydney has a degree in musical theater from Cal State Fullerton and has been an A&R executive for a Los Angeles based boutique music publisher.

Karyn Overstreet Vocal Studio has been recognized nationally two years in a row with winners in the YoungArts National Competition for Voice: Singer/Songwriter for 2020 and 2021, and clients have won a total of 18 National Youth Awards in San Diego and San Diego North County for 2021. Clients from the studio have appeared on The Voice and American Idol, and have Broadway national tours, major motion pictures, television, commercials, voice-overs, and major record deals. Karyn has been behind the table at Unifieds, live auditions for university musical theatre programs in New York and Los Angeles.
