City Dance offers classes in Hip Hop Choreo, Popping, House, Breaking, Locking, Tutting, Hip Hop Freestyle, Jazz, Tap, KPOP, and Contemporary dance. The program also includes master classes and produces shows where students perform with their instructors and other world class guest artists.
City Dance was founded in 2003 by Sandy Lee. The instructors are described as highly accomplished dancers and excellent, caring teachers. The program states that it is very important that City Dance feels like a welcoming community to everyone who comes through its doors. City Dance has attracted students from as far away as Japan, Russia, Europe, South America, and Australia to attend classes offered by various world class dancers. In February of 2015, City Dance presented “Nederlands Dance Theater 2” to a sold out house at the Palace of Fine Arts.
