About
Doc-Fai Wong Martial Arts Center Kid's & Teens Programs includes training in Choy Li Fut Kung Fu, Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, and Traditional Chinese Lion Dancing. Students may also take part in Tai Chi sword training, including the Tai Chi Shau Mei Hua Jian (Small Plum Blossom Sword form), as well as group workouts, partner interaction, and one-on-one time with the instructor.

The Doc-Fai Wong Martial Arts Center offers these programs in a multi-level training facility and is the flagship school for over 200 schools in more than 33 countries worldwide as part of the Plum Blossom International Federation. Each class is taught by one of the professional and certified instructors, and students automatically become members of the Plum Blossom International Federation. The center has been providing San Francisco with quality and professional instruction in Choy Li Fut Kung Fu, Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, and Traditional Chinese Lion Dancing since 1968, and it offers classes for children, teens, and adults with no set course schedule. The introductory program includes $20 for the first 2 lessons, and outdoor classes are held on Saturday mornings.
The Doc-Fai Wong Martial Arts Center was established by Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong, who is the founder of the center and president of the worldwide Plum Blossom International Federation, and his son Sifu Jason J. Wong also teaches there. The center has provided San Francisco with over 40 years of instruction, and the Plum Blossom International Federation was founded in 1986. Grandmaster Doc-Fai Wong has been featured in Who's Who in California, was awarded Kung Fu Artist of the Year by Black Belt magazine, has appeared on the covers of martial arts magazines more than 20 times, has written over 200 articles, produced several books and over 40 instructional videos, and has been a contributing editor of Inside Kung Fu Magazine since 1986. Inside Kung Fu magazine selected him as one of the top 50 most influential martial arts personalities in the world in 1986, inducted him into the Martial Arts History Museum's Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003, referred to him as a National Treasure in a 2003 special edition, picked him as one of the Top 18 Greatest Sifus in America in 2005, and named him Instructor of the Year in 2007. He became a California state certified acupuncturist in 1977 and holds a doctorate degree in Allied Health Sciences.
Students from the Doc-Fai Wong Martial Arts Center attend many community activities, public demonstrations, parades, and other events that promote traditional martial arts and Chinese culture.
