Mission Science Workshop offers children the opportunity to tinker, build, experiment, and explore through activities such as cracking open shale fossils, wiring a motor toy, building a wooden scooter, and riding a homemade hovercraft. The program provides hands-on experiences in a woodshop, with live animals and physics exhibits available for exploration.

Founded in 1991 by Dan Sudran, Mission Science Workshop partners with over 80 schools and community organizations, including Title 1 public schools. The program's mission is to provide hands-on STEM programs for children and their communities to develop a genuine interest in the world around them. It features three public workshop spaces and bilingual community science centers.
