St. Clair’s TaeKwonDo describes its training space as a safe, clean, and positive environment in which to learn and develop skills for life. The program is offered from “Little Tigers” to adults of any age and is described as both a San Francisco dojo and a San Francisco dojang. Students are introduced to the Moo Duk Kwan system with advanced self-defense or battle techniques, including sparring and hands-on moves such as ground engagement and stand-up fighting. New training equipment includes a Wall Mounted Striking System by Punch King, with two Punch King bags in the dojang, and a pro shop offers uniforms, belts, school attire, and training equipment, including Dragon Traditionz Activewear.
Grandmaster St. Clair received his first Black Belt on May 21, 1981, opened his dojang in San Francisco in 1993, and the dojang recently celebrated twenty-five years of awakening the “Warrior Spirit” in students and teaching the tenets of TaeKwonDo. Grandmaster St. Clair now holds an 8th Degree belt in MDK/TKD and has been inducted seven times into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. The leadership team includes Grandmaster St. Clair, Grandmaster Cynthia Rothrock, and Rick St. Clair. The school states that it is committed to fostering confidence and developing positive attitudes in students, with a focus on self-confidence, self-esteem, empowerment, and teaching both physical and positive mental skills for use at home, play, work, and family life.
St. Clair’s TaeKwonDo notes that it has partnered with That’s Amore Woodfire Pizza to offer 15% off for St. Clair’s TKD students at the nearby restaurant. The program identifies itself as St. Clair's TaeKwonDo © 1993–2026.
