Tree Frog Treks Camps focuses on exploring nature, meeting animals, doing science, doing art, and having fun with new friends outside. Campers take part in activities like making slime, going on hikes, looking for critters, and holding reptiles. The program includes Animal Time with live rescued reptiles and amphibians, Project Time with science, art, and journaling, and Free Choice options such as Build a Fort, Climb a Tree, Hold a Bug, and Smell the Sea.

The program uses a hands-on approach to teaching science and is outside every day. Tree Frog Treks Camps are described as award-winning Summer and School Break Camps and emphasize positive social dynamics, productive play, science and nature exploration, and “Getting Out and Getting Dirty.” The program’s credo is “Get Out and Get Dirty!” and its motto is “Build a Fort, Climb a Tree, Hold a Bug, and Smell the Sea!” Animal Ambassadors at camp are rescued lizards, snakes, tortoises, frogs, insects, and spiders who travel to camps, classes, and festivals to help everyone learn about them and that animals need help.
