Caio Terra Academy

Caio Terra Academy offers kids classes in Kids I for ages 4-6, Kids II for ages 7-9, and Teens for ages 10 and up. It also offers Technical Jiu Jitsu / Intro, CTA Fundamentals, CT-B Fundamentals, CT-C Jiu Jitsu / CT-C Classes, No-Gi, Open Mat, Family BJJ, and CT Fit.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• General schedule: Offers classes 7 days a week. Kids classes include Kids I (4-6), Kids II (7-9), and Teens (10+). Adult BJJ includes Technical Jiu Jitsu / Intro, CTA Fundamentals, CT-B Fundamentals, CT-C Classes/Jiu Jitsu, No-Gi, and Open Mat. CT Fit fitness classes are also offered.

About the provider

Since 2011, the Caio Terra Academy in San Jose, California, has served as the headquarters of the Caio Terra Association. The leadership team includes Professor Caio Terra, and classes are taught by world-class competitors and coaches, including Mason Fowler and Tyler Shew. The program states a one-team philosophy and says that martial arts values and respect for each other come first.

Recommend age 4 and over, but some children have started as young as 3 years old; parents are told to wait until the child seems ready and is potty trained. Family rates are the only discount offered. Contracts, pre-pay, and month-to-month are offered. One-year contracts have a one-time $300 fee to exit early. Month-to-month can be canceled any time.
