Central Valley San Jose Soccer Club offers youth soccer that includes both recreational soccer and competitive soccer. The program includes organized soccer activities for children and teens who want to play in either a recreational setting or on competitive teams.

Since 1983, Central Valley San Jose Soccer Club has offered youth soccer in the Cambrian and Willow Glen communities. Competitive teams are led by U.S. Soccer licensed coaches with extensive experience. The club’s recreational program is described as helping children learn the basics while having fun. Competitive teams participate in the NorCal Premier and CalNorth leagues and in various tournaments year-round. The club uses a unique approach to player recruitment for competitive teams by inviting players to attend regular practices instead of one-time tryouts. Central Valley San Jose Soccer Club describes itself as more than just a collection of teams and states that it is committed to fostering the growth and development of each player, coach, and referee, with a belief that soccer teaches life skills such as teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. The organization’s mission is to make soccer accessible to everyone, regardless of age, playing ability, or background. The Board of Directors provides strategic governance and oversight with a focus on the long-term mission and fiscal sustainability, and includes Patrick Schulkers (President), Fikret Jazvin (Vice President, Operations), Brandon Paris (Vice President, Soccer), Dave Kintz (Vice President, Recreation), Lisa Bolger (Vice President, Marketing), Claire Suttle (Treasurer), and Sarah Kurdziel (Secretary). Central Valley San Jose Soccer Club received the 2023 Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave Award.
