Cordero Martial Arts offers training in traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, no gi grappling, kickboxing, Krav Maga, judo, and wrestling. The majority of the classes are traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with additional no gi, kickboxing, wrestling, and judo classes for both adults and children. In no gi grappling, students wear shorts and a rash guard and do not grab an opponent’s clothing.

In 2007 the Cordero family opened The Fightshop/Westpoint MMA, and in the summer of 2017 this was converted to Cordero Martial Arts. The academy states that it provides a friendly, safe and family-oriented environment that offers hard-nose competition style training as well as practical training. The leadership team includes owner and head black belt instructor Josh Cordero, owner Lawrence Sr Cordero, and Lawrence Jr, who runs the academy alongside them.
Head black belt instructor Josh Cordero holds a BJJ Black Belt and Judo Brown Belt. Lawrence Sr Cordero holds a BJJ Brown Belt and Judo Brown Belt, and Lawrence Cordero holds a BJJ Black Belt. Darren Wong holds a BJJ Purple Belt and Krav Maga Black Belt, Rudy Hernandez holds a BJJ Black Belt, and Marcus Araiza holds a BJJ Brown Belt. Michael Howard and Socrates Hernandez each hold a BJJ Purple Belt and are MMA fighters, Oscar Lopez holds a BJJ Blue Belt, and Baltazar Guzman holds a Judo Black Belt.
The program states that students can learn and train for competition, self defense, or as a pastime, and that the team includes competitive members from kids to adults. It also states that students can learn self defense with Krav Maga and learn how to protect themselves effectively from street reality-based situations. The program notes that its team is growing and invites families to come train, bring out the best in themselves, and be part of the team.
