About

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) Lessons offers survival swimming lessons and swimming lessons that include infant survival swimming techniques and ISR Self-Rescue skills. The program also offers advanced swim training and water safety instruction as part of its curriculum.

• Ages: 0–6 years old

ISR is described as the global leader in survival swimming lessons for infants and young children and is the product of nearly 60 years of research and experience. The program reports more than 19,000,000 ISR Self-Rescue lessons delivered, over 450,000 ISR graduates, and hundreds of documented survival stories, with lessons taught worldwide. The mission, “Not One More Child Drowns,” guides ISR’s employees, independent ISR Instructors, and corporate partnerships, with a focus on preventing childhood drowning and using multiple layers of defense such as pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision, with the conviction that the child is the most important part of a drowning prevention strategy. Instructors in this program are described as highly trained and certified, and the program offers personalized instruction tailored to each child’s unique needs and abilities, along with flexible programs to accommodate busy family schedules. San Jose’s innovative and diverse community, along with its family parks and tech museums, is noted as an excellent setting for a child’s swim education.
