King’s Martial Arts Academy offers kids martial arts classes that include Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Hapkido, weapons training, and self-defense. The program also includes summer camps, Parents’ Night Out events, and Fellowship events for Black Belts.

• Schedule: Class options are available Monday–Saturday, with afternoon and evening hours on most weekdays and morning to early afternoon hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
King’s Martial Arts Academy has been a home for martial arts in San Jose since 1989, and the school expanded to its current location in 2010. Current owner Master Bradley Cole, a 5th Degree Black Belt and Head Instructor, took over in 2021 and has 20 years of experience, including competing in the Junior Olympic Taekwondo Nationals and expanded training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Hapkido, and weapons. Instructors at the academy are Kukkiwon certified, and the academy is a Christian-based martial arts school with a Taekwondo-centric approach that includes traditional culture, a focus on self-defense skills for real-life situations, and an emphasis on the Five Tenets of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.
The leadership team includes founder Jeff King; current owner and Head Instructor Bradley Cole; 4th Dan Senior Instructors Kenji Earl and Koji Earl; 3rd Dan Senior Instructors Juvina Tula and Arrawynn Hall; and 2nd Dan Instructor Sofia Rangel. The academy offers individualized instruction for each student in addition to group instruction, over 30 total classes from Monday–Saturday, and a fun yet disciplined training environment in a family-friendly community. King’s Martial Arts Academy offers two free trial martial arts classes for beginners and is Kukkiwon certified from the birthplace of Taekwondo in Korea.
King’s Martial Arts Academy states a mission to help students learn, improve, and perfect Taekwondo, martial arts, and self-defense; prepare and empower students to persevere to achieve their goals; demonstrate to all students how to treat and respect each other as themselves; guide students to practice and live out self-control in and out of the studio; and instruct and encourage students to learn and live with integrity. The academy notes community recognition in San Jose, Morgan Hill, Alum Rock, Vista Park, South San Jose, and Los Gatos as a top martial arts school and welcomes students from San Jose, Morgan Hill, Almaden, Alum Rock, and Los Gatos.
