Valley Sports Camp

Valley Sports Camp offers summer sports camps and multi-sports summer camp activities. Kids are grouped by grade level and take part in a variety of sports and enrichment games, with 4 to 6 sports and enrichment activities each day. The program also offers weekly classes in multi-sport, flag football, basketball, futsal, and private POD reservations.

About the provider

Valley Sports Camp is in its 18th year of summer camps. The leadership team is Mark Mercer, Jeff Mercer, and Kim Mercer. The program says its goals include encouraging kids to lead active, physically fit lives and building self-esteem through athletics. Its staff includes teachers who have played on high level sports teams, credentialed teachers, and high-achieving student-athletes at San Lorenzo Valley High School, Scotts Valley High School, Los Gatos High School, and Monta Vista High School. Mark Mercer has a BA in Exercise Science and a single subject teaching credential. Jeff Mercer has a BA in Multicultural Studies, a minor in Sociology, and a multiple subject teaching credential. Kim Mercer has a B.S. in Business Administration, a multiple subject teaching credential, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.

Campers are grouped by grade level and play developmentally appropriate games. Girls and boys are both served. Join anytime for weekly classes; classes can be prorated. No class on 9/7, 11/11, 11/20, 11/23-27, 12/21-1/1.
