Merryhill School was founded in 1949 by Dorothy and Tom Tompkins in a small church annex in Sacramento, California. Camp counselors at Merryhill School Summer Camp receive extensive programming and health and safety training. The camp partners with Laurel Springs School, an accredited online private school for students in kindergarten through grade 12, and Envision by WorldStrides, an accredited educational travel and experiences organization for students across the country. The program includes activity blocks, special guests, on-campus events, academic camps, specialty camps with hands-on activities, and a rigorous sports camp supported by sports specialists from around the area. The camp supports each child's unique strengths and interests, encourages them to try new things, and is led by caring staff members who set a positive example and create a warm and friendly place where every child feels welcome and supported.
