Parents Helping Parents – Early Childhood (0–5) Programs offers early childhood disability support and services for children ages 0–5. Since 1976, Parents Helping Parents has supported tens of thousands of families. Programs connect parents and caregivers with free resources, peer support, and licensed professionals in a confidential, welcoming environment. The organization’s mission is: “Parents Helping Parents strengthens families raising loved ones with disabilities through education, support, and advocacy.” Parents Helping Parents is a nonprofit, Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) based in San Jose, California, and advocates for systems change in the disability community. PHP organizes support and information by age of the person with a disability: Early Childhood, Youth & Teens, and Adults, and provides parent support for children and adults with disabilities in San Jose, CA, and beyond. PHP’s website is designed, tested, and maintained with the intent to be compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for accessibility in technology. A parent shared, “I was so happy to finally have found PHP and to connect with others who understand, have been through it, and have suggestions on how to navigate it all.”
