Roundhill Studios Ballet School

Roundhill Studios Ballet School offers Pre-Ballet for ages 3.5 to 5, Level 1 for ages 6 to 8, Level 2 for children, and Level 3&4 for children and pre teens. Classes include basic positions, foundation steps, creative movement, stretching, fundamentals, petite allegro, centre floor combinations, technique work, more advanced combinations, and beginning pointe work. Adult Level A and Adult Level B are also offered, along with Pointe Class and Private Lessons.

Programs

• Adult Level A — Perfect for beginners or dancers who are returning to ballet. · Mon 6:00-7:00 pm; Wed 6:00-7:00 pm; Fri 6:00-7:00 pm; Sat 8:30-9:30 am · $100 per month · Basic combinations are taught with emphasis on good technique.
• Adult Level B — Dancers who have several years of experience in ballet. · Mon 6:00-7:00 pm; Sat 8:30-9:30 am · $100 per month · Faster pace barre and floor combinations are introduced. Modified combinations are given in class for more or less challenging options.
• Pre-Ballet — Ages 3.5 years to 5 years old. · Sat 10:30-11:30 am · $100 per month · Introduction to ballet for children. The student will learn basic positions and foundation steps, and creative movement and stretching in centre floor.
• Level 1 — Ages 6 years to 8 years old. · Wed 5:00-6:00 pm; Sat 9:30-10:30 am · $100 per month · Beginning ballet. This class focuses on the fundamentals, while introducing petite allegro and centre floor combinations.
• Level 2 — Children. · Wed 4:00-5:00 pm; Sat 11:30 am-12:30 pm · $100 per month · Intermediate ballet. Students will improve their technique and increase their vocabulary of steps.
• Level 3&4 — Children and pre teens. · Wed 6:00-7:00 pm · $100 per month · Intermediate/Advanced ballet for children and pre teens. Students will be taught more advanced combinations. Beginning pointe work will be introduced.
• Pointe Class — Beginning and Intermediate level pointe work. · Fri 7:00-7:30 pm · Students will do barre and centre floor as abilities allow.
• Private Lessons — All levels. · Mon-Sun · Lessons are available throughout the week and weekends, depending on schedule and availability.

About the provider

Roundhill Studios was founded in 1986. The program states that dance is an art form that can be rewarding for both serious and recreational students, and that the joy and discipline gained from study will carry forward into life. Leadership is listed as Donna Maruoka, Founder & Director; Donna Krasowski Maruoka, Director; and Donna Maruoka, Director. The program includes the ABT National Training Curriculum, and Primary through Level 5 are taught by ABT certified teacher Donna Krasowski Maruoka, who completed the ABT Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through level 5. Donna Maruoka is also a Certified Cecchetti Instructor.

Class pricing effective October 1, 2025: one class per week $100.00/month; two classes per week $160.00/month; three classes per week $215.00/month; four classes per week $265.00/month; single class drop-in $26.00 per class. Annual registration fee: $50.00 per student. Family and early payment discounts available. No refunds of credits. Participation fees for performances not included.
