About the provider
Salamander Nature Awareness School started in 2017. The school describes its program as place-based outdoor education where children experience nature, the seasons, and learning in a large park, and says it emphasizes connection to nature and physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development. Meg Pelose is a Forest Preschool Teacher and Nature Based Early Childhood Educator, and she is CPR and First Aid trained, certified, and insured as required by California State Law.
Children must be 3 by the start of class; some children can start at 2 years 10 months with teacher approval. For Parent & Child classes, parents are responsible for their own children. Siblings may be able to attend with prior agreement from the teacher and payment for children over age 2. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin.
