AYSO San Mateo Region 36 Youth Soccer Programs offer youth soccer activities that include kicking, dribbling, and throw-ins. The program includes AYSO Soccer Camps and the AYSO Schoolyard Jamboree, as well as soccer camps for players 3–16. The 5U Coed program follows the AYSO Schoolyard Jamboree format for young players in a low-pressure and fun setting.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Fall season programs with signups beginning in mid-April, practices typically starting in mid-August, and 10 weeks of Saturday games from the weekend after Labor Day through mid-November; the 5U Coed program meets for 1 hour each Saturday over 8 weeks
AYSO San Mateo Region 36 Youth Soccer Programs are part of AYSO, which has been providing a world-class youth soccer program for more than fifty years. The mission of AYSO is providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives. The program is built on volunteer support, with community members coaching, refereeing, and supporting local Regions, and all other divisions beyond 5U using parent and volunteer coaches with weekday practices and Saturday games. AYSO San Mateo Region 36 follows six core philosophies: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration, and Player Development. The program offers soccer programs during the fall season for boys and girls in divisions 5U–19U, with 6U as coed and other divisions split into boys and girls teams, and 6U–12U teams playing other San Mateo teams during the season. For ages 10U–19U, a regional tournament follows the main season, with winners moving on to an area tournament typically held in early December, and in the 14U–19U divisions teams travel within Area 2N to play teams in other local regions. AYSO Soccer Camps are offered in partnership with Challenger Sports for players 3–16, and Se habla Español.
