Small Fry Dance Club

Small Fry Dance Club offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, dance, and music & movement. The program includes age-appropriate classes that allow students to learn multiple styles in one place. Classes are designed specifically for toddlers and preschoolers and are structured to support child development by improving balance, coordination, listening skills, and confidence.

Small Fry Dance Club specializes exclusively in early childhood dance education and offers both the Small Fry Dance Club and Principal Art (Principal Arts) programs. The program offers a free trial class for ages 2 and up, and tuition is based on an average of 4 classes per month, with the monthly tuition staying the same even if some months have 3 or 5 classes. Small Fry Dance Club was founded in 2007 by husband and wife team Jana and Carlos Chapeton. Its mission is to help young children develop confidence, independence, and joy through movement while creating positive early experiences that build a lifelong love of dance and learning. The program started as an on-site extracurricular program in a small number of Bay Area preschools and has taught over 7000 dancers at over 20 locations in the Bay Area, including current preschool centers such as The Carey School, Kids Connection, Happy Campers (Laurel and Carlmont), several Learning Links locations, LifeConnections, and Kindercare @ Cisco.
