The Camp Couture offers Kids Week Day Classes, a Sunday Sewing Circle, Girl Scout and Brownie badge classes, Mother Daughter General Sewing Basics, cosplay and anime costume workshops, Halloween costume workshops for kids, portfolio development for college-bound students, private instruction, Teen Summer Workshops including Teen Only Summer Workshop Series, a Summer Camp, year-round classes and workshops, parties of all kinds, Girl Scout troop bag classes, and a sewing circle. The program also offers a Cosplay/Anime Costume Workshop and accepts custom design requests, provides sewing machine repair services, and provides alterations. Founded in 2005 by designer Alexandria von Bromssen, The Camp Couture is now in its 11th year. The curator and owner, Alexandria von Bromssen, holds an MFA and was 1st Runner Up on Lifetime’s award-winning show Project Runway Season 12. Camp Couture states that it strives to be a leader in the instruction of creativity, technical/haute couture sewing instruction, and repurposing techniques for kids of all ages. The studio has been teaching design to children and adults in the Bay Area for over 10 years, and its environment is described as fashion savvy, with projects that are creative, innovative, and designed for fun. Each student is challenged to set his or her ability, with 4–6 teachers and each age group having a dedicated mentor for the week, and no student is held back or prevented from moving forward. More serious Camp Couture students have gone on to be accepted to Pratt, FIDM, RISD University, Ottis, Academy of Art University, and the Design School of Paris, France.
