About

SEA Youth Sailing offers youth sailing through Sail Camps, Open Sails, and sailing adventures. The program includes on-the-water and classroom instructional programs that focus on sailing. Participants can also charter Tackful, a Santana 22, and Jeanne, a Cal 20, for additional sailing experiences. Community building programs, volunteer activities, and events are also part of SEA Youth Sailing.

SEA Youth Sailing is part of Sailing Education Adventures (SEA), which has been sharing sailing with the Bay Area since 1976 and has been delivering sailing education for over forty years. SEA states that sailing is a unique experience that builds lifelong character, teaches invaluable skills, and fosters a positive active community, and it is dedicated to promoting sailing through affordable instruction and related on-the-water activities. As a nonprofit community sailing center, SEA’s stated goals include providing participants and community members with instructional programs, leadership development and skill building opportunities, and a strong and supportive community. SEA is described as the Bay Area’s premier non-profit community-sailing organization and offers award-winning Sail Camps, affordable classes and scholarships for young people, a membership program for sailors and parents who share a passion for the water and teaching others how to sail, and an Adventure Card for access to Open Sails or taking boats out. Community involvement includes community building programs, volunteer activities related to sailing and marine activities, and joint efforts with other community-serving organizations to further common interests.
