Kids After School Sailing

Kids After School Sailing is part of the Kids After School Sailing program at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center and focuses on After School Sailing. The program takes place within a larger operation that also offers public cruises and boat rides, yacht charters, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding adventures, corporate team-building sailboat races (regattas), peaceful memorial services, and access to a large fleet of Catalina Yachts, Capri 22s, and J-24’s. Kids participate in After School Sailing under the guidance of a large crew of certified instructors with extensive sailing knowledge and experience.

The Kids After School Sailing program is offered by the Santa Barbara Sailing Center, which has been introducing people to sailing and providing professional instruction since 1967. The center is led by owner Skip Abed. Its stated mission is to enrich people’s lives by providing unique on-the-water experiences and to encourage individuals of all ages and experience levels to enjoy Santa Barbara from the water. The Santa Barbara Sailing Center is one of the largest accredited American Sailing Association schools in the nation, has been chosen as the American Sailing Association School of the Year for two consecutive years, and is Green Business Certified.
