Santa Clarita Youth Baseball is described as a family-centered league and is a nonprofit organization. It is a proud partner of Los Angeles County, and sponsors include Card My Yard Santa Clarita, Cyclone Cleaning & Janitorial, and Photography by Mitzi Mandel, with all money raised going toward improving the fields used for practice and games. The Academy program is described as having a focus on the development of players who hope to play in high school and beyond, with a focus on building players' confidence and maturity within the game, and includes visits from former and current high school and college players and coaches. The Academy program is offered during the off season for prior enrolled players ages 8–10, with consideration for older ages as well, and is structured around accelerated drills, higher levels of coaching, extra field and cage times weekly, and possible additional games on weekends against local developmental teams.

Baseball gear families are asked to provide includes baseball pants, a glove, a USA-stamped bat (not a USSSA bat), a helmet, an athletic cup, cleats that are not metal, and a water bottle. For tryouts, players are asked to wear baseball pants or athletic sweats and non-metal cleats, with any jersey or T-shirt acceptable, and to bring a USA bat (not a USSSA bat), catching glove, helmet, and water bottle, with wearing an athletic cup for groin protection highly recommended. Uniform sizing tends to run small, so ordering a size up is suggested. The SCYB Snack Shack is open during Saturday games and offers a variety of drinks and snacks in addition to breakfast and lunch options. The Program Director is listed as Nick Lettau, with contact at [email protected].
