About
Santa Clarita Youth Baseball offers organized youth baseball, including Tee-ball, Rookie League baseball, Minor League baseball, and Major League baseball. The program uses the SportsEngine app as the primary form of digital communication with teams and operates as a nonprofit organization. Registration fees include a team hat, shirt, belt, and socks, and the SCYB Snack Shack is open during Saturday games with drinks, snacks, and breakfast and lunch options.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Spring seasons start in February and fall ball starts in September; for Spring 2026, the season runs from February 21 through May 16, with no games on Easter weekend (4/4) or during spring break (4/11), and playoff and championship games held after May 16
• Price: Baseball 101 (Tee-Ball): $195, Ages 4-5. Rookie League: $225, Ages 5-7. Minor League: $250, Ages 7-9. Major League: $275, Ages 10-12. Plus Volunteer Fee: $50 (Refundable if a parent/guardian volunteers during the season.)
For the Spring 2026 season, Tee-ball starts on February 23, with Tee-ball practices and games on Monday evenings, while Rookie, Minor, and Major league games take place on Saturdays. Baseball gear families need to provide includes baseball pants, a glove, a USA bat (not a USSA bat), a helmet, an athletic cup, cleats (not metal cleats), and a water bottle, and uniform sizing tends to run small. Umpire fees are not included in the registration amount. The league is family-centered, is a proud partner of Los Angeles County, and all money raised through fundraising goes toward improving the fields where players practice and play. A $50 volunteer fee is refundable if a parent or guardian volunteers during the season, and only one day of volunteering is required for the refund; if multiple siblings are signed up, a discount is automatically applied. Board of Directors positions are available for family-centered, motivated people who like baseball and helping kids.
