About

Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts offers classes in acting, modeling, dancing, singing, voice over, and vocal training. The program holds classes in state-of-the-art studios and a full production recording studio in Santa Clarita.

Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts was established in 2000 and has been in the Santa Clarita Valley for 19 years. Its mission is to make each student the best actor, model, vocalist, and dancer they can possibly be in the entertainment business. Instructors at the school also work as professional directors, writers, and actors, and the teachers are described as “working actors.”

The school has a limited class size policy with small acting, modeling, dancing, and singing classes, and students can meet faculty for one-on-one consultation throughout their programs. It has an open door policy of admission and is affiliated with Artist Development, Inc. Many of Los Angeles’ top agents visit the school weekly, searching for new talent for representation, and SCSOPA gives the talent the tools they need to get in front of agents weekly. New enrollment includes free photo shoots, and the school offers free photo shoots in general.

Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts is ranked Number One for the production of top actors, actresses, singers, and models and is among the top-rated acting schools in the country. The Better Business Bureau has accredited SCSOPA with an A+ rating, it is bonded with the State of California (Bonded with the State of California #70870404), has been voted “Best of Santa Clarita” in Acting, Dance, Modeling and Vocal Instruction for 11 consecutive years, and is a Santa Clarita Business Hall of Fame inductee since 2015. It is located just 30 minutes north of Hollywood in the Santa Clarita Valley and is described as a great location for families in surrounding areas.

Testimonials describe families being referred by Hollywood actors Terry and Rebecca Crews, students attending for multiple years and thanking Mr. Mike and the teachers, and parents noting that teachers are actively in the industry and are sources for questions about agents, managers, and projects. One testimonial describes siblings who started acting classes as teenagers at SCSOPA and later enrolled a son who, according to the parent, signed with an agent within two weeks of starting classes. All classes and seminars at SCSOPA are for educational purposes only and will not secure or provide opportunity for employment in the field or representation by an agent.
