Santa Clarita Ballet Academy offers Tiny Tot Ballet, Ballet, Modern - Jazz, Pilates, and RAD Training. Young students at the academy receive the benefits of Royal Academy of Dance training, and older students apply their training to performance opportunities in full-length ballets at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center. Some students from the program go on to professional dance careers.

The academy is led by Executive Director Corinne Glover and Artistic Director Carol Guidry. The Santa Clarita Ballet Company was founded in 1995 as a performing outlet for advanced ballet students, and its repertory has grown to 23 works including eight full-length ballets. The company provides the community with up to eight performances a year, including a June production and annual student outreach and public performances of The Nutcracker in December, and The Nutcracker has become a local holiday tradition at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on the College of the Canyons campus. A partnership with the Santa Clarita Ballet Academy gives students an opportunity to perform with professional guest artists and provides the community with quality, semi-professional ballet theater.
The Tiny Tot Ballet program is specifically designed to provide a fun and supportive environment for developing a positive attitude toward ballet that encourages a life-long love of dance and a desire to grow into a confident and capable ballerina and adult. SCBC’s mission is to encourage the artistic development of local ballet talent by providing advanced training and the opportunity to perform with professional guest artists, and to enrich the cultural life of the community with a varied repertoire of affordable classical ballet performances featuring both local artists and professional guest artists. One parent shared that Santa Clarita Ballet is “the best classical ballet education in the valley,” noting 17 years of excellent ballet training for her daughters, discipline that carries into other parts of their lives, and numerous performance opportunities in ballets such as The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, and Swan Lake.
