About

The Santa Cruz Nutcracker Performance offers activities in Performing Arts and Cultural Studies. This annual event features dancers from ages 4 to adult and does not require co-enrollment in IAD classes to participate. The performance has been a part of Santa Cruz since 1988.

• Ages: 4–19 years old
• Schedule: Sat/Sun, December 20th & 21st (1:00 & 4:30 PM)
• Location: Cabrillo’s Crocker Theater, 320 Encinal Street Santa Cruz, CA 95060

The program is led by Director Shannon Chipman and Co-Director Vicki Bergland. It supports local Santa Cruz businesses, artists, and choreographers, and offers scholarship and training opportunities to young dancers from CASA, Rebele Shelter, and families in need. The mission of the program is to make life more beautiful through ballet.
