About the provider
A Squared Academy of Dance was born from a collaborative effort after Annie Guest and Ariella Maman had over 25 combined years of training and choreographing for young dancers. The leadership team is Annie Guest and Ariella Maman. The mission statement says the program focuses on building strong foundational technique while growing imaginative artists in a supportive community-oriented environment, and on cultivating creativity, commitment, follow-through, and respect. It also states that students work cooperatively as teammates and learn to champion one another and celebrate each other’s individuality.
Pre-Academy students are for beginning or recreational dancers. Academy members must audition. Once admitted, academy dancers are required to attend a certain amount of classes and rehearsals each week based on age. Academy dancers compete in 4 to 5 competitions/conventions each season and perform in the Spring Showcase.
