Mommy & Me and Parent & Me Groups

Mommy & Me and Parent & Me Groups are part of The Pump Station & Nurtury’s breastfeeding and parenting resource center, which is described as the first of its kind. Mommy & Me classes are led by trained educators, including licensed psychotherapists, and groups are structured around projected or actual birth date and fill fast. Their team of credentialed experts uses evidence based information to educate parents on everything parenting, breast, baby and toddler, and gear related.

The Pump Station & Nurtury has been serving expecting and new parents for over 35 years and has been operating since 1986. The founding mission of The Pump Station was to help new moms on their breastfeeding journey, and The Pump Station & Nurtury continues its mission to nurture, support, and empower new parents with compassionate service, quality information, and products. The Pump Station & Nurtury provides education and support to over 300 expecting and new parents weekly in its Santa Monica location and serves Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Greater Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, all of Southern California, the Western United States, and nationwide through its website. Mommy & Me by The Pump Station is described as one of the best investments a new mom can make for herself.

The leadership team includes co-founder Corky Harvey, RN, MS, who is a Lactation Consultant, and CEO and owner Cheryl Petran, a first-time mom who joined a Mommy & Me Group after the birth of her child, Daniela. Corky is also described as Cheryl Petran’s business partner. Corky enrolled in one of the country’s first clinical lactation programs at UCLA and received her Lactation Consultant Certification.
