About

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin Summer Camp includes warm welcome and group bonding activities such as camp songs and icebreakers, along with traditional theme-week program activities that include a variety of games, arts projects, STEM activities, and daily reading time. Campers take part in games and sports based on a weekly theme, social emotional skill building activities, and summer accelerated learning programming, and each week ends with a special Fun Friday activity. Campers follow a set daily schedule that includes learning, games and sports, social emotional skill building, theme-week program activities, and emotional check-ins, and camp is a time for campers to put down their cell phones and focus on learning new skills and spending time with friends.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Price: The cost to operate the Camps is $290 per child per week, and Summer Day Camp is $290 per child per week.

The program states that camp provides a safe and healthy environment that is supportive of social-emotional development, and that all activities are geared to help youth stay physically and mentally active while having fun. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided for all campers at all camp locations, and campers are encouraged to bring an additional healthy snack and plenty of water. Camps state that they cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property, strongly recommend leaving personal possessions at home, and note that Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If campers bring a cell phone, it must stay in their backpack, selected Clubs may allow specific time to use phones while seated at a table where staff can observe the content, and cameras and videos are not permitted on cell phones at camp.

The organization’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as caring, productive, and responsible adults. Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin operates Clubs across the community in Clubhouses, on school campuses, at affordable housing complexes, and in Juvenile Hall, and serves over 430,000 meals annually to meet basic needs of youth in the community.
