The Dance Center of Santa Rosa

The Dance Center of Santa Rosa offers classes in tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and musical theatre. The program also includes summer dance camps, as well as performance and competition opportunities through its multiple award-winning performing companies.

The Dance Center of Santa Rosa offers a comprehensive program of tap, jazz, ballet, modern, hip hop, and musical theatre in spacious studios and maintains a professional, creative atmosphere with a positive learning environment for every student regardless of age and experience level. Dancers train with teachers described as the best in the North Bay, and all classes are in-studio and in-person. The studio is celebrating 45 years of dance in the community, and its mission states that whether students are dancing for fun, health, or training for a professional career, dance is what the program focuses on. The studio’s multiple award-winning performing companies provide in-depth dance training, and annual company holiday shows highlight the most advanced dancers, while annual June shows are well-known throughout the area and include dancers from beginning through advanced levels. All performances take place at Spreckels Performing Arts Center, and professional-grade videos of City Roots performances are available for purchase. The Dance Center of Santa Rosa has close ties to the Santa Rosa Sister City Program, which has given company dancers the chance to travel and perform in front of an international audience in Jeju, South Korea. The program continues to follow state and local health guidelines, and masks are required for anyone who is unvaccinated.
