The MovementLAB

The MovementLAB offers dance camps and Adaptive Dance Classes. During the summer, the program runs a 6-week Summer Session that includes classes meeting Tuesday through Thursday.

• Schedule: Spring Session begins February 2nd, 2026, with no classes March 16th–22nd, 2026 for spring break; Spring Dress Rehearsal & Performance Week runs May 25th–31st, followed by Spring Performances May 28th–31st; the studio is closed June 1st–14th, 2026; the 6-week Summer Session runs June 16th–July 24th with classes Tuesday–Thursday; registration for the Summer Session opens April 6th at 9am; Dance Company Auditions are held Sunday, August 9th, 2026

The MovementLAB is operated by Bernadette Alverio-Tonks, who has many years of combined performing, teaching, producing, and choreography experience. The program states that at The MovementLAB they believe in following your heart and pursuing your passion. The MovementLAB has received the Best of Sonoma County Reader’s Choice Award for Best Dance Studio. The program offers Adaptive Dance Classes and a Miles Kintz Memorial Scholarship. Videos from past performances can be downloaded and shared for free, with an option to donate for performance videos via PayPal and Venmo. The studio describes itself as a warm and friendly environment where everyone is treated with respect.
